[Expectant] Well, after putting it off and putting it, Lis and I have committed to purchasing a new PC tomorrow. The ol' 966 mhz, 512 mb box just ain't what she used to be from when Lisa purchased her in 2001. I think we're both tired of having to wait the duration of dinner time for the darn thing to fully start-up just the OS - signing on to the internet takes you through dessert.

On another note, Alex took a field trip to the international district today, and it sounds like he had a blast. I've never heard him recount his experiences so vividly and with so much detail. He's even suggested to go there with the whole family and show us a little of what he learned during his assigned scavenger hunt...that and get a big bag of fortune cookies from the factory down there. :-)

[Waiting for... I dunno what] I've been tinkering with posting blogs through my cell phone - gee, who hasn't? I need to catch up with the times. Inspite of all the SW out there and bloggers already doing this, I didn't find it super easy to do w/o spending more than $20 on a new piece of software for my Treo.
My expectation was that my phone's SMS or MMS capabilties sending an email to my Live Space account would work on Live Spaces. Well, they did - sort of... an SMS to this site will only populate the Title field- nothing appears in the body, an MMS will activate a new blog entry but no text is input. I also tried a demo of HBlogger ($15), which links directly with blog site APIs... but it doesn't support https, which Live Space uses to contain its APIs. Hmph. So now I'm trying a demo of Glimmermail ($15) which hooks up with my Hotmail account and allows me to compose and send a message through the Hotmail service. It works! ...oh but wait, I can't attach images to the mails!
